OrionGroup celebrates 20 years in business

Scotland’s leading recruitment agency, OrionGroup is today (Thursday 13 September) celebrating 20 years in business.

Chairman, Alan Savage thanked each of his 250 worldwide staff for their continued service with a £200 cash bonus.

Established by Alan Savage and his late wife Linda in September 1987, the company is headquartered in Inverness and has grown from a small employment agency supplying the highland rig construction yards to a global supplier of specialist personnel.

John Dixon (61), divisional director, based in the company’s Singapore office, is the longest serving member of staff, working for the company for over 17 years. John, who is originally from Teesside, said: “I’ve seen the company grow from strength to strength. With the hard work and commitment of the staff it’s no surprise that we’ve become not only the leading recruitment agency in Scotland but a worldwide brand with a presence in over 29 countries.”

Alan Savage, chairman said: “When Linda and I started the company we had high hopes for expanding. Over the years we’ve built a solid and committed team who have helped drive the business forward and keep ahead of our competition. I want to thank all my staff for their hard work and dedication. Here’s to the next 20 years.”
